But for those of you whose inner conscience may be speaking, here's some of God's Words & His definition of "The Gospel" [ "Gospel" means 'Good News' or 'Good Tidings' ].  John 5:39-40 - "Search the scriptures;for in them ye think ye have eternal life: And they are they which testify of me. And ye  will not come to me, that ye might have life." John14:16 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:  no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Mark 1:15 - "and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:  repent ye  [ "Repent" means to change one's mind & turn from sin ],  and believe  [ "Believe" & "Faith" are virtually the same & basically mean 'cling to', 'adhere to', 'rely upon', 'trust in' & 'obey' ]  the gospel." John 3:7 - "Marvel not that I said unto thee,Ye must  be born again"  [  "Again" means 'from above' ]. Matthew 19:26 - "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."  Matthew 7 is very informative, but I'm especially intrigued by verses 13 - 14:  "Enter ye in at the strait  [ Among other things, "strait" means 'difficult' ]  gate: for wide is the gate, and broad  [ Among other things, "broad" means 'easy', 'attractive' & implies This Way To Heaven ]  is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  because strait is the gate, and narrow  [ Among other things, "narrow" means 'compressed' & 'stressful' ]  is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."  Many pastors & teachers say that those who take this "broad" way are  "Christians." Those who make this sales pitch are exposed in the next verse. Read Matthew 7:15 -  "Beware of false prophets, which come to  you in sheep's  [ "Christian's" ] clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."  Matthew 7:22 says they tell Jesus on Judgment Day:  " . . . Lord, Lordhave we not prophesied in thy name ? and in thy name have cast out devils ? and in thy name done  many wonderful works?"  Matthew 7:23 says: " . . . I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."  That's right. Jesus was speaking to prophets. Theologians & other hirelings who preached cunning & diverse gospels went to Hell screaming "Lord, Lord" after failing to convince Jesus to accept their works of Iniquity. Testing Dr. Graham's & similar teachings years ago,  I asked myself: "Are many pastors, teachers & prophets deceitfully or unknowingly 'warping' & 'twisting' God's Word ?" Are many of these so-called "ordained" men & women of God simply hucksters & charlatans who are busy running corporations, gathering followers or writing books lecturing God & His people about His unsearchable judgments & ways past finding out while fleecing millions of contented & tickled ears out of their earthly fortunes & eternal souls ?

God's Word mentions several gospels, but let's see how God defines "The Gospel" that pertains to eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15: 1- 4 - "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also  ye have received, and wherein ye stand;by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,  [1. - Emphasis mine ] how that Christ died according to the scriptures; and  [2. - Emphasis mine ]  that he was buried, and  [3. - Emphasis mine ]  that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."  Every Old Testament "believer" was saved -'delivered' - by this gospel of grace. Every "believer" is an ordained priest who has been commissioned by his or her High Priest to share this gospel; the one and only High Priest is The Lord Jesus Christ. God placed no upper cast clergy & lower cast laity in His Church. Incorporated 501(c)3 "Church Businesses" are one example of man's many religious creations.

Isaiah 53:6 - "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him [ Jesus ] the iniquity of  us  all."

Romans 3:10 - "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man[ Adam ] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 11: 25 - "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

1st Timothy 1:15 - " . . . . Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."

Galatians 2:16 - " Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: For by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."

Titus 3:5 - " Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost [ Spirit ]. "

Romans 10: 9 - 10: " That if thou shalt confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Acts 2:38 - " Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. "

This appears to be a "loaded" verse, but what does it mean ? Is it salvivic [ A required part of salvation ] or does it suggest obedience after the fact ? inquiring people would be wise to do their own homework, and not gamble their eternal souls on other human being's numerous opinions or denominations' [ religious sects' ] teachings.

Galatians 3: 26 - "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

Acts 20: 25-29 - "And now, behold, I know that ye, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. "

Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes."

Job 42: 7-9 - "And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath. Therefore take unto you seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job. As a youngster, I continuously wondered about the meaning of the above scriptures. For years, I listened to many of "God's Ministers" interpret them; they left me in a state of perpetual confusion. After viewing this simple video made by a "layman", my eyes were opened. I had busied myself so much with listening to "anointed" pastors that using the rules of basic English composition to comprehend the meaning of a text within a context had never occurred to me. Ask any 1960's English Major if the rules of composition or grammar have been improperly applied in this video. If necessary, reduce all of the words pertaining to the subject matter of the context to paper & then recall & VISUALLY OBSERVE what you were taught in H.S. Freshman English 101. After doing so, every interested party should ask him of herself the exact meaning of just what was written and explicitly implied. Have no concerns. Each person's conclusion shall - on my part - be considered a specific command.

"But as the days of Noe [ NOAH ] were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

For the comparatively rare but increasing number of intellectual skeptics who suffer from the delusion, or perhaps illusion, of relying too much upon their superior cognitive prowess to draw rational conclusions based upon so-called " 'scientific' data", let me recommend for your reading pleasure the factually exhaustive and somewhat taxing book published in 1961, and entitled "THE GENESIS FLOOD." Its authors are Dr. John C. Whitcomb and Dr. Henry M. Morris.

Luke 13:3 - I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
